Kirk Olsson's F-16

As far as I know Martijn Koster only did repaints for the Lago F-16, not Kirk's. Most of his paints are on Avsim, so you'll probably find it there.

Hope that helps.

Find one at Avsim but it's for the Lago model .. not Olson one ... :(

General Yeager recently discovered that he had a Facebook page so he started useing it to tell war stories. When someone asked him how he liked flying the F-16 he said "It goes good with music so it's good for airshows, that's about it."

Speaking of the Lago F-16....is anyone aware of a site that still has this bird? All I need is the download, I still have my original receipt and installation code.

Hahahahaha! I like this guy. :icon_lol:

I wonder what Bob Hoover would've said about it...

Just as an aside....I remember waiting with much anticipation for Lago to release the "Falcon". It was to be the best rendition yet and the screenshots looked amazing with all the hi-res panel pop-ups they had. It was by far the best version out there, especially before they messed it up with an update that screwed some things up and never got fixed. Today, I look at it in it's present form and it's amazing how rough the aircraft actually is. It would probably be considered an "OK" job for freeware, lol. One of our members was able to set me up with the download and so with my original info I was able to get it installed. My first impression 9 or so years later. . . .what were we all excited about, lol. Amazing how far we've come.

I guess I have the "improved?" version. I bought mine on disk from Just Flight. Always have problem with the 86 TFW from Ramstein Germany's tail. Texture is always black.

Yep..... It was one of the first add-ons I bought, and I had every Dutch F-16 paint I could find installed. Had about 130 entries I believe! :icon_lol:

Now if I compare it to the Aerosoft FsX F-16 or even Olsson's F-16 it does look outdated. Still had a lot of fun with it in Fs9 though!

If you have to manually set the flaps, then yes, it's the improved version, lol. The original release had two things going for it that I don't think anyone else, at the time, had produced: flaps that operated automatically based on airspeed and angle of attack and a startup that followed the Dash-1. After the update, both of those went away and Lago said they could nothing to correct it.

As far as the tail goes, I don't have that skin, but if you have DXTbmp, you can load that texture and make sure it's converted to DXT3. That would be my guess as to why it's just solid black.:salute:

I have been searching for this file for a couple of days now with no luck what so ever anybody know where I can find it ?

I checked my back-ups and found an impressive list of Dutch F-16 paints but that particular one wasn't included..
