Kodiak G1000 NAV tuning

First of all: I love the Kodiak and fly it often, including the marvelous Banana Bob blue paint.

So, not to criticize, but just a factual question:

Are the PFD and MFD Frequency fields for the NAV radios reversed from the real thing?

On all pictures I can find of the G1000, the NAV and COM frequency fields are mirror imaged. The field closest to the tuning knob is the tunable field, and the inner field is the active frequency..

I'm about to get behind the panel and reverse a green and a red wire, using the Notepad tool, but before I do that... is this a customizable feature when you order the G1000, or a simple oversight?

Yes. The fields closest to the knob are the "tunable" ones. They are the standby freq tuning fields.

Actually there is a lot of detail with the com/nav fields that are hard to spot unless one has either the (real) manual or studies the G1000 trainer software closely...

OK, thanks for the confirmation!

In spite of the warning, I did cut the green wire and switched the display fields around.

Looks great now.. :icon_lol:
