Korea USN campaign by Talon!

After a long time I found something that interests me so I did missions for Korea. They are Historical Carrier missions from July 3,1950 to August 7,1950 so far,21 are finished. In them you will be doing alot of ground pounding with Corsairs and Skyraiders and a few intercecpts with the Panther.

My plan is to do missions from July to Decenber 1950,the USS Valley Forges' first tour in Korea. You will also fly missions from USS Philippine Sea when she joins Valley Forge in August 1950.You will also be flying Corsairs from the light Carriers Sicily and Badoeng Strait.

I have worked on the planes and missions so the will attack targets in the mountains with no problems.

When I'm out to sea I will work on the mission but when in port I do sight seeing so this will take most of the summer to do.

Hi Talon,

I'm interested, can you post screen shots of the missions once in a while so we can see your progress?

TW

TW,

Look at my old threads about Korea for the screenshots from some of the missions.I've been putting them up since March.

Hi Talon,

Yes, I've seen some of the pics from old threads but never tire of seeing what new work you've accomplished.

Kind regards,

TW

Korea

Good campaigns take time, so take your time Al and have fun making it the best that you can. Just make it to satisfy yourself and then share. While not everyone may post and shower you with interest or accolades, many will enjoy your work and that is the unspoken, yet valuable reward.

Talon...

NO, NO, NO... don't.... stop!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Remember that old joke?) Anyway I just spent a week under the sea so I was unaware you needed some feedback. Well.................. I for one relish your missions. So when you feel you have some I will gladly squirrel them away...:icon_lol: As Jag said when you are ready there will be one happy recipient right here.

Been away from the thread for a few weeks moving furniture, painting, moving my Flight Sim hardware, etc.
I still pull up my DPC CFS 3 Korea to fly the Skyraiders occaisonally!
I was too young for Korea snd too old for Vietnam and couldn't muster the physical as well.
I often tell my friends I was born too late to fly prop fighters in WWII and too poor to race sports cars, so here I am in the Flight Sims.
I love your work Talon so "do your thing" with Korea if you so choose. If not I still will enjoy whatever you " geniuses" do. :)

Progress

Hi All;

Talon, I for one am very interested. Hopefully you're making progress with this as it's 'needed' stuff. Hang in there, friend.

Cheers:ernae:

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Campaigns Add-Ons

Description: At the begining of the Korean War the North Koreans put their AirForce to good use supporting the Army. Using it for ground support they were able to overrun the South Korean positions. On July 3,1950 USs Valley Forge CV 45 and HMS Triumph started operations on the west coast of Korea and 10 doys later on the East coast. Within two weeks the North Korean Air Force was ineffective.

These missions are of Carrier Ops in July and August 1950. You will be flying Corsairs, Skyraiders, and Panthers as they intercept enemy planes, attack enemy facilities, and support the Allied troops.

Al,

This is outstanding work...and you are to be commended for following in the grand tradition of Fox Four! :salute: :medals: :ernae:

This looks great Talon, guess I need to create a new Korean install.

Thanks for all your efforts on this Talon,

Awesome!

Right on, man!

:applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

Talon, you deserve a great appreciation because this is the first historical campaign developed independently from Fox4's original project.

It'll breath new life into anyone's CFS2 Korean install!

Thank you!
