I took the stock Korean Skies F-86F-2 GUNVAL (cannon armed F-86F) and modified it's .M3D & .xdp files so that it fires 20mm's in the appropriate gun groups. I also reskinned it (in 2048x2048) with gun access panels found on the F-2's.
Been sitting on this for a while and I'm not really sure what to do with it now. I think it's pretty cool and just wanted to share it, but I can't upload it and the conversion process is a bit complicated.

ITs a shame you cant U/L it. Your sabres are COOOOL, the KTO.is a little bit neglected for add-ons these days, the other theatres that the guys have done for us are truly amazing,but somehow i always go back to Korea.
 
I hear you Jaycee. I try to upload the occassional skin for KTO to help stir interest in this great add-on by the DPC. I hope and pray that there is an update for it in the future.

Lewis - The real GUNVAL had 4x20mm's. The stock DPC GUNVAL was one of the F-86F's painted to look like it had 20mm's and fired 6x50cal's. I altered the gun_grp order in the .M3D to use four guns instead of six. Then I changed the number and type of guns used in the .xdp. It's still the stock DPC GUNVAL but with a hacked M3D & xdp.

The afterburner and gun effects were made by DANCAT. I'm going to upload some more Sabre and Panther skins in the near future and they will include the new FX. Jon's a great guy and gave his permission to upload them.

wish you could add to a post with a attachment like the sun effects DANCAT was able to.

more F-86's and F9f's,awesome.Thanks Foo Fighter,also i agree Dancat is a top bloke,his Polikarpov is my current weapon of choice.
 
I think I'll just make some instructions on how to do the conversion and upload them with the skin. If it proves too difficult for some people then they can PM me and I'll send it to them.

This skin (F-86E-6 Maj. Bolt) is almost ready to go, just have to make a couple minor changes to it. I'll try to get it uploaded later today and include the FX. I revamped the F-86 template a bit, so this should be a little better than my previous Sabres.:salute:

The 'blastside1.dds' in the download is actually new gunfire FX not gunsmoke FX. The new gunsmoke will still work it just doesn't require a .dds. The gunfire is not aircraft specific and does not require effect lines to be added. It is a general aircraft effect and will be used by all aircraft guns.
