Kwcfs, quick combat, kangnung

Open for ideas on this.
Re-installed my KWCFS ( installed in numerical order) and went to Quick Combat, bomber intercept, Kangnung .
At the initial opening I receive a warning that states " scenery object not found, this may cause some buildings,scenery...... to not appear. ID# 0x574D004, 0x54495053, 0x00000001, 0x00000000"
The airbase shows some buildings, red tower and concrete runways.
What was really funny was that at the end of the set I was able to land the F86e SAAF with one wing missiing and only two wheels with no problem (nose and right wing)!
Anyone have any idea what I may be missing to cause this warning?

Go back and check the KW install instructions to make sure you've installed all the required scenery components. You obviously have one of the key aircraft installed and maybe the others too, but what about the base infrastructures?

Went over that before even posting. This uses a auto installer for the packs. Even installed to a temp and then moved the files over, to no avail. Strange as this did not happen on the first time it was installed.

check

Bear= Check did that
Jad= Check did that also.

would the placement in the scenery library have any bearing on this? Before I had to reload it was in the number one position with no problem.

I'm hazarding a guess here, but the objlib errors are probably coming from the sim's inability to locate the viaducts and bridges of the CFS2_KW_P2 installer.

In a departure from the installer programming, the bgl's for viaduct and objlib bridges should be placed in your scenedb\inf\scenery folder rather than the CFS2\SCENERY folder. The textures for the bridges and viaducts should be placed in the scenedb\inf\texture folder.

aka's

That was just a wild thought because when I googled his name I came with a lot of d/l's from Ickie and a vague refernece to " known as Steve McCelland". That was in a archive d/l

Bear;
Thanks for your suggestion. I tried re-installing like you said and No Joy!
This is the darnest thing! Tried opening all the base packs to dummy folders and can't find anything that might cause this. Moved what was in the dummy folder file by file and all were the same.
Didn't happen in the previous load that is what has me stumped.

...revoltin' development this is! :kilroy:

Sorry for the delay in replying Fibber. This one's beyond me too. There must be some conflict between the newer KW scenery stuff and something else that's already installed. I just checked out my Korea-Kangnung base and everything was fine - no errors - but also no viaducts or bridges at that location either. So my earlier suspicion about these items is unfounded.

In order to diagnose your problem properly, you'll need to install the KW package into a clean copy of CFS2 to see how it all works w/o any other addons present.

Thanks for "bearing with me" :wavey: een looking at that. I do have some things from Xavier, Pen32, and the AF project in the files.
Looking at the texture files I do see a file called texaco R8 in there as well as some others. These seem to be files from Nova. Should I have those Nova files in the info folder? I thought that those were for use in the scenery design in Airport 2.0

All Nova bmps and R8 files are textures and generally go into the main TEXTURE folder. They're called up by the graphics engine like any other bmp whenever an object is loaded that's colored by them. The only exceptions are R8's and bmps that are specifically designed to go into Scenedb\subfolders.

Also, check you do not have installed my Korean airbases... look for three files called:

xbp_korea_v1_kangnung_A16N.bgl
xbp_korea_v1_kangnung_AFD.bgl
xbp_korea_v1_kangnung.bgl

They SHOULDN'T be under the same CFS2 installation where you have Steve's airfields, as they surely will conflict. If you want to play WW2, use my airfields, if you want to play Korean War, use those of Steve, as most of mines have too short runways for jets.
