L-1011 TriStar released (Captain Sim)

Looks very nice but I already have the Just Flight version and am pretty happy with it after I did some FDE tweaking. I am wondering if the CS version has a functioning Delco Carousel INS?
That's one thing I like about the vintage Just Flight version with the Carousel INS, it functions pretty good.

Apparently you can add the CIVA INS as a popup, but CS was unable to contact the developer to integrate a VC version. Otherwise, looks like generally positive initial impressions.

Can you share your FDE tweaks? Th JF plane has always seemed overpowered to me

Wow, I updated my visual model just now, but even with the 10 euro discount, it still expensive. I kind of a like the JF version a little better. Just feels and sounds different.

The pilots that I kew who flew the plane liked it a lot.

Carousel INS.... I suffered with those with the 747-100-200-300's. Sometimes they were in a good mood, sometimes not.

We (JF) are hoping to do an upgrade for the Tristar soon, similar to the concept of the 'Extended' version of Airbus X.

That's fantastic and there are a number of JF products that I haven't bought because they've been too light (It's not cost it's time for me), would bite your arm off for an extended version say up to quality wings or simcheck level of detail. For older planes an API that FS2Crew could tie into would be killer for me as well.

Myself and a couple of colleagues have formed a new in-house development team (an article on this will be in an upcoming issue of PC Pilot), with the Canberra being our first project. Hopefully you can see from that aircraft that we are aiming for a new level of functionality and that will be the case for all our future projects.

I'll take a look at introducing FS2Crew compatibility, its not something that I've used before.

Does this mean that JF will finally cater for P3D or will it still be hit and miss on future releases.
What about updating some current products to P3D.

Colin.

Hi Colin,

Which products are you referring to? All aircraft going forward should be P3D compatible.

Thanks
Martyn

Any chance of a civilian cargo version? Cargo without the refueling apparatus on the back?

If we do go ahead with the upgrade then I can't see that being a problem. To be honest I can't remember the logic behind not including a civilian cargo variant in the original product!

Have you tried installing them into P3D? You might find that they actually work already. We've yet to try them but off the top of my head I can't think of any likely issues that might come up with them.

I don't have FSX installed and don't want to fiddle the installation. Are you telling me the JF installer will let me choose a directory?

Colin.
