La Ferté-Alais

Sweet! Thank you for the heads-up, Zsolt! At least in my mind, La Ferte-Alais is to France as Duxford is to England. There is an amazing WWI collection at La Ferte-Alais, as well as a number of very interesting warbirds. Some aircraft that are to be found at and around La Ferte-Alais can be seen in this recent photo collection here: http://forum.planetalk.net/viewtopic.php?t=10524

There is also an excellent warbird and vintage aircraft air show each year, which draws in warbirds and other vintage aircraft from around Europe, including typically a number of warbirds from Duxford/TFC.

Just downloaded the scenery, and I look forward to trying it out tonight! With Duxford and La Ferte-Alais, they allow for just the type of long-distance flight I can enjoy. (There was actually an excellent video that was up on Youtube recently that was filmed from the back seat of the France-based P-51D "Nooky Booky IV" on its return trip from Duxford to La Ferte-Alais, crossing the English Channel down on the deck on the way over. It was unfortunately removed, likely due to some of the maneuvers and heights the pilot flew in the video...it was awesome to see for the time it was up!) : )

An outstanding airshow, you are nice and close to the action. There is also barbequed Merguez (drooling on keyboard), the only worth while alternative to the cheese burger.
Thanks for the HU.
