One of my favorite car companies. They have really been through alot. I'll never forget seeing my first Lamborghini Countach S, metallic blue with a bright white leather interior, brand new. I followed it to a shop and listened to it idle. Come to find out later, the shop was run by Bob Wallace, one of the first 'seven' employees, hired to build a prototype car in the back corner of Europes biggest tractor factory, 'Lamborghini'. Bob, from New Zealand, had just left Ferrari and new alot about cars and driving them. He was the one that punched the cooling vents and all in the Countach to keep its V12 cool, testing it daily on the Autostrada...
Later, Ferruccio Lamborghini would later sell his stocks in his own company to help finance the Countach into production, giving up his part and all his investment to see it go. He retired to making wine in the countrysides of Italy.
They have been through alot.... Good to see they are still going strong.
Does anyone remember the Cheetah, which became the LM-002? (ever notice how much it looks like a Hummer? ...but remember it came out a couple of decades before the Hummer did).
