Other then that one I only found the 8000lb. There are a few for that.

So this is how it will look. Unless someone can find more info.

Its almost as big as the Tallboy.

Fine tuning the bombs now. I just got a copy of Allen's lancaster. still issues but the good news is the lancaster was able to take off with the tallboy and the 12000lb HC Blockbuster. not sure how it will handle the Grand Slam.

After I looking everything over they will be ready for upload.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Other Add-Ons

Description: CFS2 Weapons Pack- BlockBuster and Super Cookie
By John P Fortin (Blood_Hawk23)

Here are two WWII High Capacity Bombs. The "Blockbuster" Bomb, High Capacity, 12,000 lb, and the "Super Cookie" Bomb, High Capacity, 8,000 lb.

8,000 lbs HC MkI-II
The 8,000 lbs HC was developed by joining together two 4,000 lbs HC bomb sections. Which were similar in design to the standard "Cookie" although actually were shorter in length and of larger diameter. Only the front section was fused and this in turn detonate the connecting section by blast wave. This bomb was deployed against similar target types that the 4,000 lbs HC bombs were.

12,000 lbs HC MkI-II
The 12,000 lbs HC bomb, like the 8,000 lbs HC variant, was developed by joining together three 4,000 lbs HC bomb sections. Unlike its smaller relatives it was use primarily against special targets such as canals or factories.

Only the Avro Lancaster ever carried the 12,000 lbs HC MkI-II "Blockbuster" Bomb.

The scale of each model is correct. As is the weight in the DPs. These are Multi-LOD models.

"Blockbuster" and "Super Cookie"

They are uploaded and ready for use.

12,000 lb HC MkI

MkI and MKII were the same but the MkII didn't have metal bands at the section connecting points. They were found to fail and cause the bomb to breakup.

Enjoy

Blood_Hawk23,

Many thanks for this...releasing that bomb for the Lancaster must have the same effect of letting go of a beach ball from the bottom of an in-ground pool! Wowzah! :encouragement:

I was Rebuilding the the free Alpha Sim Lancaster B Mk.III Special* model into many Lancasters for Rami.

A B Mk.I for normal night bombing, a B Mk.I with bulged bomb bay doors to hold the Tallboy bomb and a B Mk.I in daylight camo that has no bomb bay doors as the Grand Slam wouldn't fit with them on and a update of the Mk.III Special*.

I sent all to Rami for hs mission building and to Blood_Hawk for his weapons building. None where uploaded. I was trying to fix the warp fuel bug but that looks to be imposable as I'm quite sure that it is an error with in the game it self.

I have no idea if Rami is still working on the mission or not.

*Special was used for all of the Dambuster's modified Lancaster B Mk.III.

Right now I have no idea where I left off at with the models and .airfile. I know that the basic B Mk.I for normal night bombing needs weapons attached. I know that Blood_Hawk was working on them but I can't recall if he did get them done.

I don't think the warp fuel bug can be fixed. Even the stock P-38 has it. It seem that multi engine aircraft don't have there fuel usage calculated right by the game if your use warp. The best idea is to add more fuel and drop the Fuel Weight per Gallon tell its range is right using warp.

Alright, Allen... just in case if rami has stalled on that campaigns... are you willing to release them as a separate addons?

I'd love someone else to help by working in Mission Builder to take some of the heat off me, Boeing. Two hands, one mind, one body, and a life that's getting crazier by the day. :dizzy:

I still have to work on them. The DPs need work for sure and airfiles as well.

If you want a Lancaster get the ALPHA_Lancaster_Dambuster_CFS2_FS02.zip from http://www.virtavia.com/Freeware/ I used this as the source for the Lancasters.

Worked for my Bf110. Double fuel and cut weight by half and it made the 1,500 mile range at 400 KPH/250 MPH.

It is my untested idea that MS messed up the calculations so that twin engine aircraft use twice a much fuel as they should when using warp. I got this with the Bf110 and the stock P-38 when using warp. When I get back to working on the Lancaster I'm going to quadruple the fuel and cut the fuel weight to 1.5 lbs and see if that get things working.
