Lancia: Some good, but a lot more bad news!

Let's start of with the good news: This is the new Lancia Ypsilon:

And now the bad news!
Since Fiat and Chrysler work closely together, we knew that new Lancia cars would be based on Chrysler models, but all they've done is put on a new grille and a Lancia badge...

The new Thema (Chrysler 300):

The Flavia (Chrysler 200):

And the Lancia Grand Voyager (They didn't even bother to change the name.. :banghead:):

I'm afraid the Lancia brand will very soon be a name of the past...

Oh s--t!!!!
And we REALLY like those Chrysler juggernauts down under.......NOT.
FIAT need a good kicking if they continue down this path.
:173go1:

I thought the Italians would have learned from the Germans! Don't touch Chrysler!

Pimpmobiles is all they looks like!

Ferry, I am assuming the Ypsilon's has rear doors that open from the inside after opening the front door? Nice looking package, I also assume it will replace the Caliber?

Caz, the Ypsilon is much smaller than the Caliber; and if you look closely you can see doorhandles in the corner where the roof and door meet (In black).

Believe me, at the moment I am speechless:-((((

While the new Ypsilon is still neat (if you don´t look at this Chrysler grill:barf:) all the rest is simple fake. Who needs these giant coffins on the road? And not even my sparkling imagination can turn them into italian - let alone Lancia - style... Luckily I still own two nice Lancias and will keep them as long as possible. They may not please everybody´s eye, but - getting the chance to drive many different vehicles for my job - I know what I have got and I love it every day!!!

Unfortunately those who hold the keys are only interested in figures and numbers, not in tradition. "If you don´t know were you came from you will never know who you are"

Maybe I am all wrong and things turn out well, but this is not my way anymore. Though I like the effort somehow:

Getting back into my pitch black sulking-room...
Alex
