Ok,

Its Mr Inexpert here neeedin tips on landing one of these 109s. Why do I seem to be heading straight down the runway and then at a certain point when the speed drops I spin and crash? Do I need to retract the flaps, or make a careful use of right rudder, is there a trick in the braking, is it the snowy weather that's a problem? What am I doing wrong?

I'm new to CFS3, trying an 'escort' mission, seem to be required to land all the way to the full stop and just keep crashing - :pop4:to a mixture of amusement and annoyance. Anyone else found this, and solved it?

sounds to me that you don't lock the tailwheel before landing. Usually there is a warning that you have to hit ctrl+L (I think) to lock the wheel.

HI,

Thanks guys, taillock sorted, landing a breeze, :icon29:which for a CFS1 and CFS2 vet should have been. But don't mind admitting, escort missions are hard-not enough ammo: so what's the drill to succeed? Chase indianer away and keep near the bombers only fight if you have to? Tips please because I don't like passing over things just because they're hard, which is tempting in this game because there are so many types of mission.
