Landing Field Markings

It seems that in the Philippines it was common practice to clearly mark the landing fields with large white circles and also perimeter lines.

Any thoughts on whether during the Japanese occupation if the markings would be left intact?




PS: Free images from US National Archives don't pay the $45 from that private company, you just have to search for them yourself.

That's s similar to the British pre-war landing circles. I'd guess that they would have been removed during the conflict.
