Latest Campaign Project

Thought it might be time for a little pre-announcment. I've been developing a historical campaign following Marine Fighting Squadron VMF-121 from Guadalcanal 1942/43, to the Solomons 1943 to Peleliu 1944/45. Flying Wildcats and later Corsairs, VMF-121 was the highest scoring Marine Squadron with 208 credited kills.

As far as possible my goal is to make this an auto install to minimize additional downloads. I'm at 42 missions completed so far and am starting work on their fourth and final tour stationed on Peleliu, another 10 or so missions. Maybe another month worth of work to pull it all together. I hope there is some interest in this one, I've been thinking about doing it for a long time. :very_drunk:

Great Captain! Looking forward to it. I've started a revamp of 3 campaigns myself with new ships and planes. I'm waiting on the final version of Wolfi's TBF Avenger to complete the first one ("USS Saratoga CV-3"). Thanks for helping to keep the PTO alive. :applause:

I'm very interested!! your campaign looks very promising...
Thanks Kurt!
Cheers,
Giuseppe

Hi all

Thanks it sounds like I am heading in a useful direction.

Dasuto, the Wildcat is the FDG2 F4F-4. The skin is mine which will be released as part of the campaign. The photo of it reports it to have been flown by Maj. Duke Davis. In fact there will be 5 new Guadalcanal Wildcat skins. Two from VMF-121, as well as eye candy with VMF-112, VMF-212 and VMF-224 versions.

Actually, other than waiting for permission request replies from from Gramps, Pen32Win, and Stuart277 I think I have everything I need to finish it up. Thanks for asking. :encouragement:
