This one panders to my tastes in fiction fantasy ... And it involves real people doing the acting ...

I tried to get into it but it was never really able to tick all of the boxes for me. It just seemed to cherry pick concepts, themes, even the filming of certain shots and the odd line or two from various other fantasy and sci-fi franchises and never really felt very cohesive. Some of the supporting cast were a bit ropey as well, I think they may have skipped the odd acting lesson or ten.

A bit too cliché and rough around the edges for me I'm afraid.
