Legends Never Die

That is a great video production! If you want to see more of that Sea Fury display, or the P-38 display, from the cockpit (all at Duxford) - these are small clips from the Flying Machines TV DVD of Flying Legends 2011:

Or how about over an hour of video from the 2005 Flying Legends air show (this was the debut year for the then-owned TFC P-51C "Princess Elizabeth" and the TFC Curtiss Hawk 75):

(All of these, as with the first video posted to this thread, are productions of Flying Machines TV: http://www.flyingmachinestv.co.uk/index.html - Really worth checking out, even if only for the free videos!)

great vid, thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love Flying Legends. I have been there twice over the past two years and love the atmosphere. The grand finale of the first show I visited in July 2010 is something that I will never forget. An amazing site having all those Spitfires, Mustangs, P-40's , Skyraiders and many others in close formation a couple of hundred feet above your head.

when I see these great videos, two things come on my mind:

1. prob animation ratio: as you can see, even real planes don´t have a proper one!! No, if I don´t like it, I play with different locked FPS, to get a nice representation.

2.SOOOOOUUUUUND!!!! I´m really happy with FSX, but our warbirdsounds are mostly superwhimpy. I replaced most sounds with offerings from Gary Jones and Nigel Richards, but that are fs9 sounds and a Seafury sound is not strictly correct in Bearcat, but that sound gives you really shivers. Did you see that Lightning video? Really funny, cause when the FDS Lightning came out, Smudge statet the turboless Red-bull Lightning would sound like a Fedex truck!...Hey that´s a heck of a Fedex truck.

OK, all that I want to say is, that there would be quite some money to earn from me, but just with some real noise...

Cheers, Thilo

I wish there was a place close to me that I could go to experience a show of this type.
Actually the more I watched the video, the more I enjoyed the fact that I did not have to be in the mass of spectators to see the show and all the magnificent aircraft.
All that power. All that grace in the skies. The video at the Duxford airshow 2005 was excellent. :medals:

My wife said she spoke to me a few times while watching, she told me that I was so immersed in watching, she gave up talking to me and left me alone. :icon_lol:

If only there was a decent FSX Sea Fury :salute:

Not too much longer to wait this will be flying over the Virtual Quebec skies soon....
