• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Lesson instructions

Working towards my Instrument flying certificate I find the instructions that lie behind each stage are useful but lengthy. Is there a way in which I can dig into the programme's software, copy those written instructions, and send them on to my iPad to be absorbed in slow time?
Thanks for your offers, folks.

Well, you could screenshot pages into JPG's and upload to your iPad or Tablet. You could (somehow) save webpages from the sim into PDF's and read them there also in the tablet. All you need to do is somehow find a way to get the files into HTML (linkable into the tablet/iPad) or create/duplicate them into PDF, JPG, etc, and upload into the tablets.

Maybe google and see if someone has uploaded the manuals from FSX/P3D onto the web and then you could link in via the tablet that way also.

All of the lessons in FSX are housed in this folder

FSX{root}\FSWeb\Lessons\

The instrument rating lessons of course are in the Instrument folder.

They are .htm files so you can open them with any browsers for viewing. If you have multiple monitors you should be able to open the lesson in a browser on one monitor and fly on the other in windowed mode.
