• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

FSDreamscapes has a 5m mesh for Oahu, and Manny has some scenery packs on Avsim for Oahu, though placing a thousand objects in such a way with instant scenery is not good for performance.

I can give you Ford Island in 30cm photo, but the buildings and stuff would have to come from somewhere else. Unless I can get my 3D skills improved real quick.

But right now I'm busy in the Tar Heel state... :wave:

I installed HawaiiX...Loaded a flight from Ford Island..it was a complete disaster..Not even in range to see the scenery my frames went for a normal solid 60 to 18-22 and choppy...

I removed it pronto....Darn.....I had that scenery for FS9 (simuliar) and it works great)



I will give it another try later...Seems I forgot my Virus was running a scan....Oppsss.....Can't fly during that..Just asking to much with that running....

HEY! I've been to Statesville, many a times. Along with about a hundred other choice locations within the Tar Heel state.

I'm looking into some terrain stuff for the area, that I stumbled upon. Many days away from knowing if it's any good or not.

Totally OT: Being a former paid tourist aka (ssh) a truck driving man, I looked forward to my visits to NC because I could purchase my (uhhmmm) smokes cheaper. Here in the great state of Kalifornia, I found our budget crisis found unwilling saviors in those who smoke. Last purchase was an extra $10 on a carton. As I asked no one in particular "What will the state do if we all quit?", which is something I hope to accomplish before long.

@ Meshman........ Cartons here just went up again as a result state taxes for cigs and liquor...

They are now $32.00 a carton

Looks like the smokers and drinkers are paying back the States stimilus money by ourselves.......
