Would you please open the effects XML in ETO after the Hot Fix install and tell me what it looks like. I just looked at mine and it was a jumbled up mess. It still works but is no longer in the correct format. It appears that the installer may have done this but I am not sure. I also noticed the same thing happened on the script within the new facilities that were included.

If it did happen we will get together and put out an immediate fix and replacement effects XML. With it jumbled up there is no way you can possibly copy and paste anything out of that mess.:banghead:

We may have to pull the current patch and redo it to correct all of the problemms we have noted. Will advise.

It seems to have lost the Indentations and/or tabbing......

We are going to leave the current 1.01 up but will be rebuilding it and replacing it next weekend. We made too many mistakes putting this one together and are going to have to redo it. There wre too many things left out that we want to get included and we can correct the problems with the effects XML.

The problem has nothing to do with te new Download Manager, it was the way we put the installer together for the update.

noticed the same with my effects.xml, but above all don´t worry too much :icon_lol:

main thing I wanted to say: the 1.01 looks great, you ETO guys did a great job!:applause::applause:
 
Really sorry about this guys. We are going to issue a new update at the end of the week that will include everything that was left out and correct the problems with the scrambled files. I think Talon may have some missions ready for us we can also include.

Again, I am sorry for all the screwups and we appreciate your patience.

What happend , according to the tech at my internet server place is that i'm getting intermittent signal strength to the modem form outside the house. The soonest they cvan get someone out here to fix it is Dec1'st. Believe me, I'm plenty p.o'd about it. I don't think it will have anytrhnig to do with normal operations of the sim but it doesn;'ty look right.....for wahtevr reason as stuff has been moved from our ftp site to my machine and back and forth the material, especially the xml's are getting scrambled from their original content. I'm plenty bummed, but there ain;'t much I can do about it till it's fixed. Righht now it's working fine..in an hour who knows....the only upside is that being it is a problem outside of the house, then I don;t have to pay for the fixit. Other then that it makes me real crazy to have all that work be for naught.

you mean we'll have to play with a stunning add-on whose effects all work and yet live with an effects xml that ain't perfect.....with awkward indents we're not used to seeing!!!! This can't go on...this kind of casual carnage is unacceptable!! I demand a refund!!! Wait, it's free???...and it works never-the-less??? Don't you hate it when that happens?

Now that's the spirit I was hoping to see around here. I couldn't agree more. Despite the little problems, it's still downright fantastic, although I am a bit biased on the subject. Great job, regardless.:d
 
My effects.xml is perfect, all looks in the right place, all the lines with the right identation.

I found my BDP zapper don't delete the BDP in this folders:

Buildings
guns
pylons
ships

it should work in this way? or I did something wrong?
 
Just minor problems,still a fantastic job done on the ETO. Stuff happens, thanks for all the time and effort ,at least there will be a fix,still plays great for me. Thanks again, Scott:ernae:

That is the formatting problem in the xml files of the 1.01 update that has been in discussions. We should have a corrected update released within the week. It doesn't affect game play, just when you open the documents in notepad the formatting is alien. If you open in wordpad the documents are readable/editable.

Will we be able to update over the current rev 1.01 or will we have to delete everything and reinstall? By the way, outstanding mod! :applause:
