Liberty Belle Video...

Was that "my" pilot in that piece? Looks like him... :icon_lol: Hard to tell for sure though... He says the "best seat" (besides his) is up in the nose. I have to say my favorite place to hang out during that flight was right here...

Nope PRB, the voice in the video is of our Chief Pilot and Executive Director, Major Ray Fowler. He flies F-16's in the Guard, flies for Continental I think, and has been flying warbirds since his 20's... B-17's mostly, B-25's, Mustangs.... Dad & I were just discussing that he is probably is one of the highest time active bomber pilots alive.

The pilot in your picture there is Mr. John Shuttleworth... Another great guy and I've met him the last two years here in Ohio...He lives in Indiana, so he often makes several of the flights in Ohio...

And, I'd have to agree with you, behind the pilots is the best place beyond a doubt...

Great video Witt, thanks.

You know why it's the best place to be? Cause you get to see the love these guys have for these old warbirds. I've seen it the the pilot's eyes while flying in 9O9 and Witchcraft, when I've been up in that same spot. ;)

Having flown on a B-17 I can honestly say that the best seats in the house are the bombardier's and navigator's seats.
