Library Question...

Why are all of the uploads now a long string of numbers? Like 695113392190506748.zip. I have no idea what it is. When I see any thing that is a string of numbers I really don't want to download it... It may have bad things in it.

Yeah, its a curious thing...

As annoying as it is, i've been slow to complain about this myself. I know that a lot of hard work is being invested into revamping the system, but yeah, its a bit of a drag, especially when downloading multiple files. And they all have to be renamed on the spot to avoid stocking a mess of numerically titled files which you would have to open every time you want to know the contents. Before, one could simply look at the filenames in our personal download archives to have a clue of the contents in most cases. Moreover, going forward we'll have to alter the option of searching by filenames.

I sent a PM to Canelo, but right now, the higher priority is transferring the files over.

Hopefull it can be set back to how it was. Also what bearcat said. How it is now can make things :isadizzy: if you download a few things since you can't tell what it is by name.

Looks like the file names are not being decoded, in putting them in storage the filenames are converted after a successful virus scan, when downloaded they should be renamed to their original name.

I'll look in to it, after NASCAR...
