Light Sport Aircraft

Hi All,

I am looking for a nice LSA aircraft. I started flying the Piper Sport in FSX and found it interesting but its not in FS9. In FS9 I have the Abacus Cessna 162 which I find well modeled and fairly accurate as I am training in one IRL. I also have the Challenger II freeware bird that I love as well. Id like to find a good low wing LSA aircraft either Payware or Freeware so I am putting it out to you fine folks if you have any preferences.

Thanks,
Sean

I totally forgot about the WS-9. I bought it forever ago. Loved how the plane flew and how it looked. Hated that it had massive textures that made the sim run horribly. Just found the texture patch that fixes it. I just took it up and flew it to Edinburgh. Thanks for reminding me.

Sean

the Lionheart WT-9 is indeed a great aircraft

I have a rather strange repaint request for it since original is on other Aircraft type

Since Sean's original post asked about Light Sport Aircraft (as opposed to Light Aircraft) - LSA is a distinct category - here's the EAA reference and lists

The links at the bottom of this page:
https://www.eaa.org/en/eaa/aviation...port-aircraft-flying/learn-about-lsa-aircraft
lead to tables of the most well-known types (and notes about similar, non-conforming models.)
European regulations for LSA are slightly different so there is some conflict if you look at other lists. LSA is gaining interest in Europe due to far higher base costs of aviation so there is a constantly growing list of Euro types, quite a few of which are also legal/sold in the US.

Some of Keith Paine's FS9 models of older Brit aircraft would probably fit the LSA envelope and they are nice flyers with an antique feel.

Jack, where did you get the texture patch? I have the same issues here.

Cheers,
Sascha
