The Microsoft Sidewinder pro II is the only on I've ever used and I like it but its starting to show its age. The primary machine gun button is flakey and its causing problems in dogfights. I'm thinking of getting a force feedback Sidewinder II unless I get better suggestions from you fellows. Thanks in advance for your input. Check your six.

I am using a Saitek Cyborg 3D.

I have my third one in the use, too. The others are kept to cannibalize, if possible & needed..

Still using my MS Sidewinder Precision 2. I also got good use out of my previous stick, a Logitech Wingman.

I agree with Jagd on the Sidewinder. I replaced mine with the Saitek X52 - it was a bear to set up the profiles for IL2 but for cfs2 it was simple and is user friendly. It's tough amd durable too ;)

In my countrie the majority are Genius made in china!, I have the most economic model, and I like this but I will buy the model 2 in future, because it have more bottons and vibrator, similar Side winder of microsoft.
The model 3 is the most expensive, have more bottons, controls of views and the handle turns 360º!.

MS Sidewinder 2 FFB...the only way to go

Used FFB Sidewinder 2's can occasionally be picked up on Ebay for 50-60 bucks.

I'm on the same stick as Dirt, except I have the Forcefeedback model, nice stick and really quite sensitive, and I could swear it self-calibrates, flight can be very awkard until you max deflect all axis in sim after a reboot. Had a wingman extreme before that, it was okay, but this one is better, on my 2nd one. (I did get them both in a Costco clear out for £11 each :d)

Hi all,
Still using my origional MS Sidewinder.Had it 10 years and so far has not let me down.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I won a Microsoft Sidewinder FFB last night for $0.99, the shipping is about $10 and insurance $1.70 so I'll have a total of about $13 in it. This will be my first force feed back stick so I'm jacked.

I'm running a Saitek ST290 Pro and have a Saitek Cyborg Graphite as a spare. The Cyborg Graphite doesn't have rudder input.

M$ Sidewinder PP2. Man that stick just feels good in your hand!

Saitek X-52, one of the best HOTAS setups around.

O.K. After years of listening to this kind of banter, I just ordered a Logitech Force Feedback 3D Pro. If I'm not happy with it I'll probably exchange Dirtman's dusty butt for JD's tin balls.

My vote goes to Logitech's Extreme 3D Pro

3 axis, comfy & sports 12 programmable buttons.

This is Dirtman's "weapon of choice" ... but then again I drink allot :friday:

Dirtman,

I've had two of these Logitech Extreme 3D Pros, and I loved them both for about three weeks, after which they refused to hold a calibration. I'm curious as to what you're doing that I wasn't so your joystick is still in working order and both of mine are in landfills, like in Wall-E. Right now, I'm using a Saitek like Maskrider. I don't like it as much, but it's been completely reliable and cost less than 20 USD.
