Lockheed Air Express Released

Very nice NCGent. It says tested with FSX, but as it's posted here, it is a go with FS9? I love those early passenger/mail planes. Pilots outside, paying passengers inside. Usually a pretty classy cabin for those passengers as well.

Hey Daniel

It was compiled for FS9 but it also works great in FSX. The screenshots were taken in FSX. I like it better in FSX myself.:jump:

Chris

Thanks Chris, it looks great!
Guess the plastic gets a workout tomorrow morning :ernae:

Rob

It looks very nice, Chris! :ernae:
It will be hard to resist...;)
...more than a pair of hours!

Does it has some passengers views?

Stephan

I found the perfect way to get planes like this:
1) wait until early morning. wake up before the wife.
2) ask for PayPal information while she is half awake. Goes something like this: 'Sweetie, what is our PayPal password?' In this case she mumbled it out and rolled over. Remember to say thanks and walk hurriedly out.
3) do the deed. If she makes a fuss bring up something about her getting her nails done later this afternoon. :costumes:
Been waiting a long time for this one. Thank you very much!:ernae:

Thanks guys

Stephan I did not make any passenger views because it was compiled for FS9 but if I'm not mistaken thats something anyone can add.

Enjoy
Chris

NCGent,
I like the Lockheed air express. Would you consider building some larger propliners with nice VCs as payware? Please give us a Yea or Nae.
Thanks,
Sid

I am loving it. Took out the center tanks in the cfg and it takes off a lot faster. Here are a few screenies. Yes there are passenger views in FS2004 if you use F1View or ActiveCamera (I use F1View). Granted the real thing didn't have a Sperry Autopilot but quite frankly I like using that on long flights and I just don't have the fortitude of Captain Frank Hawks nor do I have his ability to actually hand-fly this plane across the United States (I'm more like Oscar Grubb, the guy in the cabin hand pumping the gas from 5-gallon cans to the wing tanks)
A brief exerpt from Revolution in the Sky describing Hawks' flight...
...Toward midinght a sick cough erupted from the engine and Hawks's heart missed a beat. Frantically he switched from tank to tank. The gauges read EMPTY and the Wasp quit entirely. Frank squirmed down in his seat to peer into the dimly lit cabin ahead. Oscar Grubb was sprawled grotesquely on top of the gasoline tins, sound asleep. Exhaustion, high altitude, and the monotonous drone of the motor in his confined quarters had done him in.
Hawks's roar made up for the lack of noise from the stopped engine.
"Hey Oscar! Oscar! Give her some gas or get ready to jump!"
Poor Grubb came to and responded on the pump with frenzied efforts. Soon the motor was barking again on all nine cylinders, and the lost altitude was regained...:kilroy:

Nice shots Daniel but whats up with the seats, is that shadows or something in your system? It's not like that on mine.

Chris

I'm guessing it would likely be my system; it's on a laptop but I don't see any shadowing on the seats though. Might be lighting or time of day for all I know. All I know is that it looks good.:d

This Air Express is a heart stopper. Man, just fantastic Chris:applause::applause::applause:(Standing ovation) It makes this Glacier Bay scenery look extra purty!:ernae:
Thank buddy!
Ted

Thanks bro, I knew you would prefer the Texaco paint more you Texan :costumes:

Happy Flyin
