Long Island Classics in FSX

Hey ya'll;

I was going through my backup hard drive and discovered that I still had the files for the Eagle 2, Champ, L-16, Scout, and Decathlon.

So i decided to install them into FSX to see what worked and what didn't. The eagle 2 works fine some texture modification. No problems with the champ or L-16.

But I am getting issues with the instrumentation in the scout and decathlon. I have tried to switch the instruments out with instruments from the default Extra 300 and NO GO. The instruments still do not show up in sim but I don't receive those pesky error messages about out dated gauge file. I didn't know if Lilski still frequents this site or not or if anyone here has successfully gotten other gauges to work in these aircraft.

Thank you,
Brian
(almost an A&P, just got my writtens left)

Seems the topic of "Where's Lilski" came up not too long ago related to another of his models and the consensus was that he had just dropped out of sight. Several folks had tried in vain to contact him via the known contact points and had no luck getting any response.

Thanks for the response Falcon409

I myself have been outta the loop for the last couple months, gotta love college and graduation. Have not been lurking as much as I used to. I know I hadn't seen lilski post anything in a while now. And I did a search for a similar topic before posting this thread and I didn't get any results.

I've figured out what I was doing wrong with the gauges, working on it.

Thanks again,
Brian

Almost felt like I was attending my own funeral reading this thread lol. I'm still around just not in the flightsim world anymore. Good to see some still use the old birds.

What a pleasant surprise to see a post from you LilSki. I hope everything is going great for you. And yes, your Aeronca Champs are still, in my opinion, the best there is available.
