Longer lasting explosions

Does anyone have a recommendation for effects to create longer lasting, more significant explosions, in particular, ground objects? Thanks.

My personal favorite is: Blade's Realistic CFS2 Effects Collection v.2.0.
Beautiful fires & volumus columns of smoke & flame.
