Looking for a good Grumman Goose

Prefer freeware, since my wallet will not allow payware purchases. A VC would be great since I fly from the VC view. Sound pack is not a big thing as I have a huge library of sound packs (thanks to Lawdog, Aaron Swindle, Mike Hambly and others). A nice texture mapping would be great since I am addicted to painting aircraft.

Have seen references to a Goose by the Lyons, but have not found it anywhere.

THE BEST FS9 GOOSE! By definition... this plane cannot be beat and never, ever will be for FS2004.

Found the Goose by the Lyons, but when I try to download it from AVsim all I get is the Index thingie...guess I will try later.

I just checked flightsim.com . Do a search and plug in cc9g21f.zip in File Name section and it should bring up his whole package which includes some great scenery along with several missions . Great package .

I don't think the Lyons Goose can be beat. I've had it since it was first released as payware.
 
Yes, Bill's Classic Goose package is excellent. It follows the old tv show Tales of the Gold Monkey. Check out some of Bill's other packages: Sportsman, Tiger Moth, Travel Air, Golden Hawaii, and Golden Wings. The most incredible addons for FS9.
 
Of Bill Lyons many works, my personal favorites are the Travel Airs, Goose, and Apache - but I keep almost all of his others loaded! Including most of his FS2002 work, which for the most part works beautifully in FS9... for example, his Tiger Moth... a perfect plane and the RAF base scenery that comes with it is amazing!
 
I was able to grab the Lyon's Goose from Flightsim.com. Was never able to get it from AVsim....kept being taken to the index thingie....probably because of high demand on the server...get that every now and then.

Have installed the Goose, taken it for a short flight...and LIKE it a lot.

i love his Piper PA22 aswell..fun plane to fly and its done very well..my dads cousins hubby has one and he says its "close" to flying the real thing on the sim :focus:

Microsoft should send Lyons a big check. I think the FSX adventures were inspired directly by his work in FS2004.

Just a thought...:wiggle:
 
I love the Lyon's Goose but I don't fly it as often as I should because i really, really hate the scary Corky character in the VC.
