View attachment 22448You know you can change the yellow on a J-3 Cub to olive drab and you got your basic L-4 - Boring.
But change the canopy to an observation canopy and you have the Taylorcraft L-2. A truly military aircraft. In fact there were more L-2s used during the war than any other. General Eisenhowers mount was a L-2. During the first part of the war, I flew in L-2s out of Plum Island while in the C.A.P. looking for Subs. Maybe the canopy is too difficult but I don't know why it is so totally ignored.

that's interesting. Maybe if there was a J-3 source file, someone would do it. I agree, that does look pretty cool.
