Looking for AI Models

I'm trying to locate/identify two AI models but so far have been unsuccessful. Could someone help please?

I'm trying to find:

JKAI T-38

PAI C-17

Hopefully someone has them? Can steer me to the download link?

Thank you

I'm sure I have the PAI C-17. Let me have a look;)

Don't have the other one though.

Also.. the Nasa pack at Simviation contains the JK T-38.. http://simviation.com/1/browse-Scenery-39-59

EDIT: I've just checked this file and the model therein is the JKAI model. Good guess that Jake Burrus was/is JK;) You can download this and add whatever paints you want to it.

Argh!

I was really hoping that was the file but it doesn't include: model.T38C_1g_1c

Hmm.

I tried the WOAI to see if it's in that pack. but not there either.

Sigh

Sigh...

little by little...

Now I seem to be missing two texture files. I've searched trhough all my MAIW folders and still come up missing.

MAIW_canopy_smoked.bmp

refl_texture.bmp

Anybody have these in their folders?

Thanks for all the assistance today, btw.

Hello matey..

Which texture set are you looking at? The maps in the NAS Patuxent set number only 2.. a light map and a day map which seems about right for an AI model.

EDIT: Looked at a set for the C model (Edwards AFB) and they only have 2 maps.

Yep,I see that but the canopy is black. When I read the model's hex code, it calls for the canopy file (which I have since found btw) but while reseraching I discovered that some MAIW acft require the other file.

Hello Mate..

I took a look at the mdl in MCX and it came out with more errors than good bits. It also said that the smoked_Canopy was missing. So.. I took the liberty to install the NAS Patuxent scenery in it's entirety so I could see what the Talon looked like 'in sim'. Here it is..

I've looked through all the texture files in the Patuxent pack (of which there are many) and I see no evidence of another canopy for the T-38. It is often the case that models modified over a period of time can still call for 'now' non-existent textures. Maybe this is one such case?

Interesting. Your install was FS9 I assume?

I'm setting my acft up for FSX so perhaps you already had the required files in your main FS \texture folder. That's where the two reside. If you would be so kind and see if the are located there, I'd appreciate if you'd share them here.

Hiya..

Yes.. this is a relatively clean install of FS9. The only non-default scenery it has (had until I installed MAIW NAS Patuxent) are a number of UK2000 Xtreme airports (I beta test the FS9 versions). No sign of those 2 textures. Now.. you mention you're getting them ready for FSX. I have a few MAIW AI models in FSX and one in particular appears with a black canopy.. the F-15 flying out of Lakenheath and these are by Nick Black. I'm running non-standard env maps in FSX so maybe this is what causes the black canopy on the F-15. Wish I knew cause it's annoying!! I can try running the T-38 in FSX to see if I get black canopies.

Well.. I don't need another flyable T-38 as I already have the Milviz T-38 and T-38 ADV in FSX but should I ever want the JKAI model in that sim.. I'll be knocking for your canopy texture:encouragement:

Agreed but I wanted to just check it out. I'm actually installing all the older AI into FSX for a big push for myself to enjoy military acft around the world...but I've discovered some marvelous color schemes in the process and have picked a few to fly along with others in formations.

That's a cool idea and I wouldn't be surprised if there are more AI paints out there than flyable versions:encouragement:
