Daniel - I am dying for some really thick stuff one can't see through. That's what BC had to put up with quite often!
 
BTW Daniel, have you investigated a jet stream effect? The Nuremberg raid was a good example of BC going off course because of the jet stream which wasn't understood well then.
 
Winds can be added, but I'm not certain if they can be set to only occur at certain altitudes. If you have altitudes, speeds and directions I can try some experiments.
 
I'll have to re read the book(s) to see which way they went off course. Winds up to 100 mph were reported.
