Thanks but im looking for freeware. Im uploading to my new website. Im trying to fill in the gap i feel is present in terms of early military aircraft in the file library.

Check the permissions for every model you want to add to your website. Not every author wants his/her work uploaded anywhere; some only make their work available to particular sites. Just sayin'.

True but not everyone specified that and if they dont i just assume its freely distrubutable as i dont have the time to hunt
down people who aint been seen in a decade and to be honest if there too lazy to specify its entirely there fault.
 
Sooner or later someone who does take the time will give you merry hell. Don't say you weren't told.

In the US of A you need to file whats called a copyright to get me for hosting a file. and even then you have to have the cash to drag me to court over it. Plus being that most authors seem to be in some 5th rate 3rd world country that dont even have laws to protect there intellectual intrests, all that work into my favor. Im in this for the fame. I want my name to be known for building the best damn website ever. Ill obide by what rules i want. Mark these words.
 
William, with that attitude you will find yourself banned and without friends in the Flightsim world. You seem to suggest that any freeware designer is in open season for you to hunt and trap whatever files you want on your site. You have no moral conscience and frankly that is disturbing.
 
The arguments seems a little forced and fake to me. Are you sure you have 16yo? I give you 5 or 6 at max.

Were you educated in the Kalifornia skool system?

By potentially violating someone's copyright they could bring a cause of civil action against you and your parents. They could be exposed to civil judgements and best of all... attorney's fees.

I would see about tempering your raging ego before it get's you into too much trouble. Though I get a warm and fuzzy feeling that your time here will be short.
 
William, you should be aware that you may be in violation of US law. Regardless of whether the author registers a formal copyright claim, US law grant copyright to any published work for a term extending to 70 years after the author's death.
 
Fine, fine, fine. Ill go through and check the readme files since i need to update my file_index.txts anyways. and im alot better person than you think but im already stressed out to my limit and mr.spin decided to rattle my cage. Bad idea. Im off for a while. Be aware this site wasnt meant to appeal to those with such high standards. Its a haven for those who live the lifes youre to scared to live. You want to know why i do this. I want to know why you dont.
 
Okay William, go and think on the reaction of our members. I don't think they are scared but simply want justice for individuals who create models and are prepared to share them with us without fear of having their files stolen.
