Looking for Work?

Spectacular Approaches to High Living...Almost atmospheric you might say.

Resolute fearless pilots needed. Watch this spot for further information.

hmmmm.........maybe.
2 engine cargo hauler,
snow capped mountains,
definately has interest potential.
...and what about the pay scale?
these old girls ain't cheap, ya know?

Work?

Hmmm .. this looks interesting .:jump:

Hey Vinny!

Better pull down a couple of R - 1820's down off the rack ... get 'um rebuilt and ready.

Yeah, and don't let those two Twin Wasps get out of here ... until we here more from MM.

salt_air Out.

Any more updates on "Looking for Work"? Hey Dudley, better start scourning up parts for the beastie!

Ahh ... Yes!

DC-3 ... the Andes ... sprinkle of mechanical worries, a touch of bad weather, and loaded to near max headed to an airport in the Amazon for the your first time ... Wow .......

Perfect!

Mick, that video is absolutely brilliant!

Thanks for the suggestion. A true winner.

Yep! The plot is really getting thick! Any thicker will need to get my trusty hacksaw out. Dudley and I are collecting all the spare parts we can for the Beastie. Got to be careful with all the parts or we won't have any room for our cargos.

Yous guys might want to have a look at the airports before falling in love with a particular plane ... just sayin' :blind:

Extra points (pay) for night shift operations?? (takeoff and land in the dark ... sick, huh?)

i haven't had a look, yet,
but i was thinkin',
i'll bet there's gonna be some challenges.
gettin' in is one thing,
gettin' her rollin' is another
and gettin her over the shrubberies
is yet another all together.
"Give us your Shrubberies!" :jump:

at least, if it's lit, you've got
a better chance at alignment. :icon_lol:
reminds me of an old Humphrey Bogart movie,
"They Always Drive at Night"
granted, it was about truck drivers,
but what the heck,
they were hauling cargo
in dangerous circumstances.

btw, i love your new avatar

Shrubberies? Heck, in some places if I can manage to avoid getting into a traffic accident with a big red truck crossing the runway I'll be happy! And my secret weapon for getting into tight spots is the STOL DC-2 :)

very nice, Paul
and here i thought,
from an earlier post,
that you were complaining
about getting stuck with the DC-2.
looks like you might have
made out pretty good.
we shall see.

to be honest,
i'm rethinking my choice.
i'm not sure if i want to
scratch up that new paint job.

That was just my secret "strategery" to keep others from choosing this plane! :icon_lol: The Uiver DC-2 is a great plane, very fun to fly. You do have to read the manual, though, lest you attempt dumb things like switching fuel tanks without first turning on the fuel booster pumps... If you do try that, it gets very quiet in the cockpit, and those whirly thingies out on the wing stop going round and round. Somewhat disconcerting to say the least.
