This is a great community, Im getting ready to up load my new 727-100/200 I have been working on for around 3 years off and on. Its about a gig and a half big ol Rhino Model...so Im working with Pete at Simviation on how to get it out to the community with out putting it on cd's cause then I would have to charge for the dvd and then shipping and Im not going to do that.
So it will have to broken up into a few parts, or a dozen or so
. Its all in an extractor so folks wont get things mixed up as there are alot of new systems I have programed in there and utilities that need to go to specific places. Big job.
Then Simviation offered to host my new site for free!!! I could even put up a forum as well to help peeps with my addons.!! This was a very gracious offer and Im very excited about it.
Goes to show there are great folks around here and support for good designers is still around.
When it launches I guess an anouncment will be made about the 727 and the site cause I guess I may as well launch the site with a doozy of an addon.
But to do this commercially is just not going to work with a full time job ( doing this exact thing )and a new baby and plans to have another.. its just not what I want to do right now. I have a book deal as well for some of my childrens stories and my other sifi stories are being looked at by Penguin Publishing as well so I need something for a hobie that isnt attached to money or a company that wont make that much money anyways and it will take to love of flight sim out of my heart and Im not up for that. or the pressure to keep up with all of the commercial guys and their monster huge teams who I do help out from time to time but I dont want any money from it.
Anyways I will be around, mostly you can find me over at simviation hanging around haveing fun releaseing up grades to commercial addons and giveing out free rides on my new addons. Thanks to all for your Continued support! I really appreciate the e mails that encourage me to carry on and even you guys that e mail me and swear at me cause I didnt put in the right gauge or something...hehe yeah you can swear at me I can take it... Im just glad you took the time to down load my addon. So thank you!
Welp its time for my final good bye to the SOH, You guys have been awesome and the site management has been out standing and they do a fine job and work tiressly on this site, to them We all owe a special thanks!
Ickie, take care man, when you feel better get in a ol clunker and just fly bro, just fly and relaxe. Keep up the good work to all of you awesome Freewaree guys that work hard on this stuff for no money.. with out freeware the whole community would fold. So hats off to ya. I hate to leave but I simply just have time for one web site and I have chosen Simviation because Pete Daley always calms me down when I get too tired and frustrated to say things right, and he is always there to get me some help on a project when Im stuck, I have known him for 13 years and we have a good relationship that will last for many more years to come.
And with a high maintenance wife and 3 children I only have so much time.

Ps: From all of the sites that are hosting the Rata addon ( I uploaded it to 230 all over the word, it took a month of evenings! ) It has reached an estimated 1.2 Million down loads. In north america alone It has done close to 12 000. So Thank-u for your support and Im very very happy you guys enjoyed that addon so much. Especially you Russian flight sim bros!!! The biggest down loaders of all! I put it up on a few torrant sites as well to get it max distribution. that is because of you guys so..
