I would be very interested to find the solution to this.

I've done something to my MAW 1.4 install, and the water has disappeared, too. I'm sure it is something simple, hopefully should save a reinstall.

David, I had this happen too, I don't remember what I did to fix the problem RATS! :banghead:
I know any files from the "New environment files" will also cause this.

Several times when i was dancing with the different Shine-shader work by Master Ankor
I managed to have this happen.
Problem is right now I don't remember what I did to correct it

Check in your Assets folder and remove any H2O files that might be in there Once that fixed this in my CFS3 advanced set up I do remember that MW's scenery adds H2 O files there also, as does some other Scenery (add-ons) developed for water over the years.

When using the shader-shine files you only want the H2o files in your effects folder, none in the assets folder.

Ah yes I should delve into the water fx files that come with ankors D3D stuff, good tip

Another file that can cause this is the panoramic_cubic_test file in the effects/skybox folder..
Major Magee has a set that might help.

Thought I'd better report back that the MAW water problem is fixed. I used MajorMagee's panoramic_cubic_test file, and I also did a couple of other tweaks at the same time, also I think good old configoverrides had done it's trick of checking Dual Pass Render while I wasn't looking.....:dizzy:
