Lost splash screen

Tried changing splash screens. New image is 600x800 bmp. Saved as digsplash.bmp. Did not appear. Tried to reuse the original splash and now it does not work either.

Any ideas?
 
Thanks Epsillon, but I believe I did spell it correctly.

OOPS .. sorry. Perhaps I should have had an l where I had an i.
