Low and Slow Scenic Route

For those of you who like it low and slow, you might set aside 90 minutes to try this little route. And check the map as to where the aircraft is sitting. This is a nice little serene place beside the river that you can easily set down to just enjoy the afternoon or early morning hours. There is plenty room to land and accommodate multiple aircraft. You are surrounded by beautiful mountainous expansive scenery.

Hi Milton,

thanks for the tip, I love those little country hops.
I'm definitely going to try this one!

Regards,
Norm

Left hand side of US/Canada is special, innit?
You could spend half a lifetime pootling around there and not get to the end of it.

I still haven't gotten to the end of the Holger S Columbia River Gorge
One day I'll take a week off and start at KPDX.

Thanks for these, bookmarked.

LOL Milton! You following me or just psychic??
I was doing a fuel test on the Dragon Rapide this morning and got bored with chugging along so I dropped into Crawford Bay and then ran down the river to Nelson. With Canada Roads and FSGenesis it's even pretty true-to-life. I could 'map-read' from memory.

Complete the loop by dropping into the Salmo GolfPort... the runway doubles as one of the fairways for the golf course (Fore!) and then over to Creston - home of Kokanee beer!

Looks nice in Fall colours and makes me a bit nostalgic... I lived in the area for 3 years back in the ummm.. er... 60's

I've always like dropping into the Grand Canyon to see how low I can keep the plane without either getting wet or scuffing the paint on the rock walls. With my mesh, there's some pretty "interesting" water/rock anomalies toward the end, but overall it's a nice flight. Once I'm out over Lake Mead, I'll head over to Hoover Dam, then back up to LAS to land. A good starting point is KGCN. Time required for the trip depends entirely on what you fly. If I want to test myself, I'll take one of DCC's Lightnings!

hate to say it, but I am having Moth Envy too.
I have been flying the french country side in some little british jobs., just practicing.

hi ho Milton!!

Question about Sid's post with a link to a scenic flight. What is the funny flier in those pictures please? I think I had it once but misplaced it.

That little gem is the Anderson Greenwood AG-12 by Tim "Piglet" Conrad. File name is ag-14.zip...I can't remember which site I downloaded it from.
