this took off during the afternoon saturday,so far its burned 1500 acres,,when it started it became a "monster" right away,the first in unit,just simply said,,this is gonna be big...then asked for more help and every air tanker you can get me!!

this is a cool pic,,people relaxing and enjoying their day at the Rollins lake,with a big header right behind them,and what i believe to be the DC 7 T-60,it was working the fire on Saturday,but wasnt there on Sunday.

Tanker Tens T911 was working it both days so far,and she came down from Washington state i think,he called in when he was still over Oregon..not on the radio to the air attack,but came through "flight following" and the dispatcher told the IC.

i forgot to add,4 fire fighters were "life flighted" to the UC Davis medical center,they are a trama center,all four had burns after then were "burned over" saturday evening around 5pm.

Not seen any pictures, but there is a very large forest fire near Bordeaux in S.W France, lots of residents evacuated apparently. Not sure about aerial activity.

this lowell fire has "taken off" once again..they are getting winds..im thinking the winds are also fire driven.i dont know any additional arcerage as yet..but theyve called for atleast 4 more tankers in the last 30 minutes.as i listen now,they seem to be trying to find a dozer that may have been over run...they had an engine over run last night ..4 injuries..
