MaddogK's journey to El Dorado

After a lost battle with a bottle of Tequila and a couple Dominican cigars, and a quick refresher course in HTM document creation compiling an event checklist for Gregoriu Alexandru's neat little kneeboard widget I believe I'm ready to start the engines on this beautiful old C-82 packet I so rarely get to fly.

"Say goodbye, the citys heroes sing, bird on a wing
Feel, feel so free through the life upon the rooftop haze,
All the cheating and broken days.
So through it all I see there's nothing left for me.

So I will stay, I'll not be back, eldorado.
I will be free of the world, eldorado."

That's enough for me- nerves kaputski.
Scattered showers appeared at takeoff, got worse the further south I flew. Heavy turbulence right below the cloudbase, made holding an ADF course difficult. Missed the river but saw the runway thru a hole in the clouds that immediately disappeared under ground clouds as I turned toward it. I was lucky AS updated as I lined up as the sky cleared for about 1 second- just long enough to confirm the airport was actually there. Managed a screenshot as the runway became visible again.

The heavy turbulence and not being able to see the ground always makes me sea sick.

Even though I am sitting in my living room and not actually there. :icon_lol:

Aye, would've felt safer if I hadn't pulled the RALT display from my mini-panel, but had to keep with the authenticity of the event. Also missing wind gauge and fuel computer but so far fuel weight hasn't been an issue, and granite clouds have yet to find me.
