MAIW and PAI Question

Does the PAI and MAIW packages work well together ?
I've been thinking about another FS9 install (renaming config and exe file to whatever?) . Currently have FS9 rigged with Cal Classics setup and prefer to keep it separate . Goal is to load up another FS9 install with all the excellent military AI packages and scenery and throw in GEpro , FSG mesh and UT . Would prefer to keep default AC/AI to keep the civilian airports filled . MAIW justs keeps cranking one package after another . I am a prop man at heart but want to add another era .

World of AI wold be a better bet for the airliner fleet.
Your biggest problem would be to decide what NOT to install.

Depends what you want?

If your happy enough with the default tubeliner fictional airliner AI, fine, keep the default file, gives you the tubes and the GA.

If not, you can drop the defo tubes by dumping the defo AI file, you loose the GA, but there's a file to restore the defo GA AI. After that you can choose your own route for tube AI, WOAI, Alpha India Group, PAI (not sure how they work together, if at all) I've done this and plan to go with WOAI for the tubes.

As for MAIW stuff, this should work okay with any set up, it just gets added ontop, gives you the military AI.

The newer PAI stuff, since it's rebirth, is much better than it was. But Woai and Alpha India Group are even better. The main thing that causes problems is afcads. MAIW makes all theirs for military, PAI, Woai,AIG, etc, make theirs for tubes, and then you have to go hunting for ones that have enough proper GA parking spots. There are also lots of newer GA aircraft designed specifically for ai, also. Ultimate GA has made, and are updating some, many packages of business type prop and jet traffic.

IT is possible, if you know how to use the afcad program, to combine/update the airports you want to watch the most, with all the parking spots by combining the different afcads into one. Time consuming, but will become another hobby unto itself once you figure it out.

Oh, and they will all work together, as long as you have working afcads.
