Makes my blood boil....dash cam russia again

Hard to tell if it was a scam, just a disoriented drunk, or even the drivers Ex trying to get back at him. Some others have gotten so pissed off at these videos there are now a few showing the other side of a society; folks stopping to help little old people across the street or help getting pulled out of snow banks, etc.. It's nearly impossible to know what these videos are really all about without being there and scripting a story to go with them. Still, at face value they are interesting to watch I think. Try these out for some balance :icon29:

because of these kinds of scams, I installed a dash cam on my truck, got it on ebay for 24 bucks.

Yep, got my one working again. And last Sunday was out with the missus when some oncoming lunatic lost control in a passing lane - just missed us and showered us with stones...buuuut... we were in the wife's car ~doh

Absolutley Brilliant showing the other side, my blood no longer boils. I keep forgetting for every hostile act hundreds if not thousands steip forward to help out those in need.

Thanks aeromed202 for tipping the scale back in humanities favor!

I agree thanks for the balance, almost teared up with some of them. How refreshing it is to see people helping others in need and going out of their way to do so. It has almost become a no-no to do so with possible threats of litigation for trying to be the good guy. Can you imagine if someone was rear ended because a guy two cars ahead had stop in the left lane to help a pedestrian across the road? Oh the lawyers would lining up for that one.

I come away from watching the news these days and feel angry and frustrated. It's all death destruction and corruption. There was a time when the news always ended on an upbeat note, not so much now though. I now no longer make a point of trying to catch the 6pm news like I used to.

You know my wife's firm rents out spare office space to a therapy support company. She was talking to one of their counsellors just today and he is swamped with work, he's been doing it for 20 odd years and has never had so many angry and depressed patients under his care. I will leave it to you dear readers to come to your own conclusions as to why this might be so. But have YOU noticed how folks are strung out so tight these days.

I own a Delorean and have lost count of how many times people have tried to cause a accident when I drive it. There is a particular stretch of road call the "international blvd" thats mostly strip malls with your usual, car stereo places, cell phones.Western unions,Payday loan ect ect that I avoid at all cost.
The 2 scams that almost got me were both distraction scams.
Typical scenerio is one car will get next to you and stay there. You are in the right lane and up ahead is the accident car. When you get about 3 or 4 car lengths from that car,the one next to me lays on his horn and jerks his wheel. In that split second of wtf is he doing , the car ahead slams on his brakes. This happens all the time.
The other was simular but involves one car where they pass you, yank it over in front of you and hit the brakes.Or a variation is there will be 2 cars. One will have you blocked in while the lead car yanks it over and slams his brakes. No where for you to go.Then its 1-800,been in a wreck, come get your check! Insurance fraud has become a way of life.
so the general rule is if you have a nice car, everyone one else with a lesser value car has the right of way. They want you to hit them.I also have a old smoky, beatup, loud British Spitfire and never have this problem hahaha.

Dash Cam

'Dash' indeed. I drive my '92 Aerostar van like I own it. But I also have a dash cam. That discourages any 'scam' types. The longest 'van driving' video I have is of 13 minutes. But I've had longer ones. I only keep those that show changes to roads/highways that are taking place (for last 2 years) around where I live. But in case of wreck there can't be any better evidence. I have a Kodak Z950 (no longer available) that takes fantastic looking HD videos. Got lucky with this camera. Saves to HD card and download thru my printer card reader. Live is good.
