Making BOB walk

gray eagle

SOH-CM-2026
I just reinstalled the freeware BOB from ORBX and I am trying to use the keyboard to make him walk forward/back/ turn left/right.

What are the keyboard commands for the above? I have a joystick with a lever throttle but I wanted to use the keyboard instead if possible.
It has been awhile since I used BOB and forgot the keyboard commands.

Grey Eagle: These are the commands that my joystick uses.

Throttle increase: F3
Throttle decrease: F2

Ailerons left: Num Pad 4
Ailerons right: Num Pad 6

Rudder left: Num Pad 0
Rudder right: Num Pad Enter

With BOB you don't need elevation but -

Pitch up: Num Pad 2
Pitch down: Num Pad 8

Hope this helps. :adoration:

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you want to use the joystick?

Because sometimes when I go to turn left or right it acts a bit flaky. As strange as it may sound it does a good job on airplanes. :adoration:

Also making BOB backup would be a nice but he has to be thought of as aircraft as far as controls are concerned so Bob would have to go in a longer circle
to achieve backing up.

Edit: I was using BOB in the New Mile High Simulations NAS Mimamar and using the joy stick to control him I could make him walk and all the other functions
but not as responsive as he was at other scenery airports. I also had BOB set on the walking sounds and could not here his shoes crunching on the tarmac at
NAS Miramar but other airport I could. There was a lot of Tower chatter going on at Miramar and maybe that was drowning out Bobs walking noises.

So, that is why I brought this all up in the first place. I was trying to explore NAS MIRAMAR with BOB and find Maverick (I found him) but using the joystick
BOB was a little lethargic.

I asked the walk question over at ORBX and got this very nice response
