Making the IRiS Harriers jump

I know there is a package out there somewhere that greatly improves the IRIS Harrier's Vertical Take Off, Hover and such. But I can't remember who did it, what it's called, or where it is. HELP!

Thanks for the link Andy. Will get it installed so I can begin crashing vertically as well as horizontally LOL!

Whilst you are there, search for "rcbhc-up.zip" without the quotes. There is a collection of updates for lots of other aircraft including Alpha/Virtavia's V-22 Osprey. I believe this is his latest update so you will need the rcbhcd10.zip installed already for the IRIS Harrier.

Right !
After installation of the Iris Harrier, install rcbhcd10.zip and then the related update in rcbhc-up.zip.
I've made so many versions, that I sometimes loose track myself :)

As a sidenote: just keep your eyes open for newer versions of this VTOL-gauge solution, because I'm still continuously trying to improve it. I have a beta-version out now for the V22 Osprey (Alphasim installation package), although this is for FSX only.
Main improvements:
- More realistic hovering
- The entire flightmodel with nacelles/nozzles out-of cruise flight position is now under gauge control as well, which gives a considerable improvement of the flightmodel for nacelles/nozzles anywhere between no and full rotation.
In fact, the whole nacelles/nozzle control could be a non-discrete axis control; unfortunately there aren't any visual models out there yet that have animation of the nacelles/nozzles coupled to anything else than "flaps" (which is discrete, in max. 10 steps).

As said, my focus is on FSX now, but if there's enough interrest I'll certainly consider to "port it back" to FS9 as well.

I installed the packages for the IRIS Harriers and the IRIS F-35....and now they are FUN! Have been using your VTOL package for Mr. Ito's Fairy Chopper thingie...can't remember what it's called... and have been enjoying it greatly.

Thanks for all you have done for the simming community.

Rotodyne...that's it. All I could come up with was RotoRooter...the sewer unplugger company here in the US.
