hi.scruff here.need more help, being new to all this as iam,how would i go about making my plane?ive downloaded some awsome looking aircraft and would like to know how its done.who said the skies the limit?:ernae:

There are two ways to go: FSDSv2 or GMAX modelling programs. There are exponents of both within the forum who are far better versed in these matters than I, but having tried both I personally find FSDS easier to work with.

I haven't completed anything yet, but modelling is very addictive!

hey,another englishman.thanks,where can i get the programs?

-I personaly prefer FSDS2.4 cause you can export the aircraft model direct to cfs2, FS2000 and FS2004, but it´s payware. - For me, the most importand feature of FSDS2 is, suport of breaking part´s and bullet hohles for CFS2 aircraft, also easy add of the virtual cockpit and multilod model´s.

warning !
- modelling is very time consuming :d

Time-consuming....

...might even be an understatement when it comes to designing aircraft.

I like FSDS v2.24 as well (the latest version for CFS2).

Yes, you need to call Abacus Software on the phone to purchase FSDS v3.1 (only works on CFS3 and the newer sims). Ask them for the link to download version 2.24 for CFS2.

In fact, you get two programs for the price of one. Ver. 2.24 for CFS2 and Ver. 3.1 for CFS3. :wavey:

will get programs at later date, got problems with game a mo.i tried to ad ai bombs so my bombers could drop full payload in 1 pass but it messed up mission builder.on splashscreen a message said "failed to initialize databases.reinstall.data files are missing or corrupted"then i lost the splash screen.i uninstalled then reinstalled game, got mission builder splashscreen back but still got message about missing/corrupted data files.so i gota start gathering all my planes etc into the game again, but im more p:censored:off about mission builder not loading.can you or anyone you know help.:banghead:

Scruff....

...you are committing a grave error, one that is commonly seen with folks new to CFS2. You are simply trying to rush into doing too much too soon without having taken the time to ask or learn how to do it correctly.:isadizzy:

The error you are getting in MB is due to one of the files in an aircraft or a ship being either corrupted, absent or incorrectly installed. The error will disappear when you have corrected the file problem.:d

It could be as simple as an aircraft with the sound aliased to an aircraft that you do not have installed.:ernae:

yeah i know.i thought i was doing ok,but that seems to not be the case.i posted a thread which goes into more detail about how i messed things up,asking for help.could you check it out please, should give you a better idea.
