Man, I cursed the race until the end!

Then I was almost as emotional as the winner. Y'all think the Woods Bros. have a driver in Trevor Bayne? I would rather see Len and Eddie Woods win than my man Denny. I know the Woods, use to drive 60 miles to just hang out at their shop. Know what, I'll be up there Wednesday to congratulate Len and Eddie, two very good friends and I just don't think this race could have been won by a more popular team. There's gonna be some celebrating in the Old Dominion tonight. I am walking on air!

That race actually brought a few tears to my eyes.....Just to see the Wood Brothers #21 up front & win with a driver like Trevor Bayne...

And it was great to see the faces and actions of the #21 crew!

Yep - I'm happy! :ernae:

The Woods are the closest Cup shop to me, they are only 30 miles west of Martinsville. Two of my very close friends crewed for them in the 80s and 90s. I have known the Woods since the 70s. They are a close family unit or I should say 4-family unit, along with cousins et al. But look around and that 21 car is the most familiar of the lot, the only one with the same paint scheme from the late 60s. When I see that car, I think David Pearson, the best stock car driver ever!

I got a call last night and it was a buddy who said they'd be back sometime today. I feel a road trip to Stuart today. I am so happy for those two Woods boys amd young Trevor Bayne.

The only sad part isthat I know Len and Eddie's financial backing will not be ablt to keep a driver with Bayne's talent. Of all those drafting yesterday, he was the best, he didn;t miss a stitch. That's natural talent, you cannot teach it, it's like my old coach said, some folks got it, some folks not got it. Danika patrick is one whi has not got it. She could have had a top ten in the Nationwide race if she could draft, but she can't push!
