I know that phase 3 don't ship with a manual, and I take there's no manual in pdf forum on the dvd.

So my question is this, has anybody made a basic quick start post for the people like myself who has not play or even seen phase 1 or 2, and who never really play CFS3.

I bought CFS3 loaded it, play it for about 30 mins and could not stand it and haven't played it again.

I know someone said to use the CFS3 manual for the basic, but I can't find mine after 4 yrs. Was lucky to fine my CFS3 disk.

We would love to help but we have to remain as an add-on and thus the CFS3 manual is the thing you need and from our POV it is a copyright/legal issue - hence we have not provided one.

There are lots of manuals in the "Hangar," aren't there?

Yes, plus cfs3 keys etc are mention in the sickies above from phase2.
Also go to options when in game (press esc) aand you can view or edit your controls to see what does what. Main one E starts your engine :)
turn off magnetos to stop orl lean mixture (see faq) :)

question 10) under Misc questions

Does this stop a 3rd party from developing one, and say, posting to this forum?

I would love and have always wanted to see one, concise, complete list of OFF related commands on one or two sheets of typed paper. No need for the gear up/down, flaps/up down, drop tank type commands related only to CFS3, but all OFF related commands would be great. This should include how to show/hide the target cone, "target" the nearest enemy aircraft, nearest friendly, reverse target view, etc. It always seemed odd to me that even Microsoft didn't include a complete list with CFS3. It's through the aid of great sites like this one that one has to learn about some of the commands. Whenever I find a good tip, I print it out. As a result, I've got a stack of paper to go through when trying to remember how to do something.

Anyway, I don't see how anyone or anything could stop someone from typing up the commands and posting it as a pdf or something. Nothing illegal or questionable about that. If I knew where there was a complete list, I'd do it myself. But of course, if there was a complete list, I wouldn't need to.

BaronMyBuns you hit on what I was trying to get at. Not really a manual but a key list for OFF3 for some of the things like you said are not even listed in the CFS3 manual.

I would love ... to ... complete [the] list of OFF related commands on one or two sheets of typed paper.

I completely support you volunteering B-my-B's for this most dreadful mission :engel016: It sounds like you've got a great head start...

But really all kidding aside, it does need to be done, and the community (especially newbies like me) would be most appreciative.

Not Looking to Toot my own horn, however if perchance you read what exists now, prior to wishing somebody should do it.

I make reference to the STICKY OFF Tips & Cheats #11
NOTE: it shows all the Keyboard Controls used in OFF
It doesn't feature the toggle for the Targetting Cone in CFS3, or the location of the secret coin slot, where you can put the quarters

And it's been there before Phase 2 was released :monkies: :kilroy:

EDIT: for 2 weeks after the crash it was missing. It appears that when it was originally posted it should've had flashing Lights and red arrows . . Private Opinion

The tips and cheats is a good read, and I HAVE read it many weeks ago. but what we're talking about is one digested document.
The list of keyboard commands provided there I don't think is complete, but correct me if I'm wrong.

It's got all the ones used in OFF, there are others used, but those are CFS3 commands. There's about 150 of those, I printed it out during Phase 1, when somebody posted it. I've seen it since .. as CFS3 Commands
But not for Free . . :kilroy:

Well I guess no one is going to post a list of "ALL" the key commands.

And the one in the Tips and Cheats #11 are not a complete list. As gumpyguy said.

You think this would be a simply question to get a reasonable response to, but I must be wrong. All that was asked for was a simply list of ALL the kEY commands, Not all of us had phase 1 and 2 and already know the commands.

So please will someone on the Dev team post a complete list of commands, include the one that seems to be left out of the CFS3 manual.

Most important for your f(l)ight:

A-Attack
A (two times within 3 seconds)-Flight attack
R-Rejoin
H-Help me
S-Split
C-Cycle through checklis
Shift+T-Tactical display
I-Enemy indicator
Shift+D-Damage text
Ctrl+Shift+L-Aircraft Labels
Shift+Z-Display coordinates
E-Engine auto startF3-Cockpit/Full view with HUD/Fullview
F4-cycle views
Ctrl+- - lean mixture

I use for CFS3 (I don´t have BHaH yet) printed manual (310 pages), which was attached by CFS2. Key commands are almost the same.

Excuse me: ... I don't wish to sound abrupt, but this is OFF ( a patch of CFS3 ) all the commands needed in OFF are listed. I see NO reason to post the CFS3 commands

If anybody want's them so desperately, I'm sure they are avialable Somewhere, but they must be Purchased Indirectly.

A few years AFTER I printed them out, the sheet was all torn and tattered, full of crossouts and notations, I wanted a fresh copy to put under plastic, so I'd have it forever. I found the List, but to D/L or Print it out. I had to be dues paying member of the club. Cost $5 per month, at the time, the list wasn't worth $5

It's kinda like when I was getting an engine professionaly built, for my street racer. Guy said to me: "Speed costs money, how fast do you wanna go?"

btw there is an online manual too with keys etc, press esc when in flight...
