• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I just want to post a public thanks to those who helped me with my system/monitor configuration purchase decisions - especially DennyA! I ended up with a very nice setup as a direct result of the knowledge base in this forum (even if I couldn't find an RTX 3080 in stock ). I Installed MSFS three days ago, and have slowly been figuring out how to maximize my enjoyment with it. I am a bit frustrated with some of the interaction/interface changes Asobo has implemented, however, I am learning every time I load up the sim. The amount of really useful information available via YouTube videos is absolutely incredible, and I've probably spent as much time viewing videos about MSFS as I have running it.
Anyway, thanks again to all who helped.
BTW, if you have an older video card and are looking for an upgrade but can't find a 3080, I will say that an RTX 3070 runs MSFS quite nicely. I can't run everything in Ultra or at max settings without things slowing down a bit. However, the performance of the 3070 has readily met my expectations. That, combined with a new Dell S3220DGF curved 32" monitor has made the level of immersiveness I've experienced far exceed anything I've seen before - in any home PC sim.:encouragement:
