SOH-CM-2025
TEXTURES ONLY......

Available in Avsim's library now!

Search for:

virtavia_martin_mars_marianas_v1.0.zip

If you are having issues with avsim's library search engine in finding the zip file as noted above, try typing in the following words in the "quick search" box:

martin mars

That should bring up all of the Martin Mars repaints.

This is a snapshot in time of the Marianas Mars during her conversion into a water bomber in 1960? Sadly, this aircraft and her crew was lost during a fire fighting mission in 1961. I could only find a single low resolution color photo of this aircraft during this conversion, so this repaint might not be totally accurate, but I really wanted to give her a chance t fly again in our virtual skies. So here she is!

Wow, nice repaint for that great bird! Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks for the kind words Mark.....

I created the weather beaten base paint for this repaint back in 2009 for FS2004, and I have used it for the basis for many other Martin Mars repaints such as this one. Seems the Martin Mars is my calling when it comes to repaints....this one just wanted to be done. I'm just hoping that I will still be able to fly this aircraft and these repaints in Prepar3D. Right now I'm still stuck with XP Home OS platform, with no computer upgrade budget in sight for the next year or two; damn guitars are so expensive......:biggrin-new:
