Martin Mars repaint for FS2004

Which reminds me. I created new flight dynamics and contact points for this bird after watching videos and reading the specs but forgot to post them:icon_lol:. They were for a free AI version which came with a Sproat Lake freeware scenery, I didn't know there was a payware one. So I got permissions from all and I'll review them once more and get them up.
I'd say weather the red and white ones too but they are so lovingly cared for it would be an unpardonable misrepresentation.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing in regards to the weathering deal of those red and white birds. But I did notice that in some of the videos that the black paint on the underside of the wing also appears over the top of the wing area too. I guess to hide the exhaust stains? I might do that one too.

Until uploads are back on these are the cfg changes I made from the AI version. I don't know if they would fit in with the payware one. I had to assume all parameters were fair game to get the result I wanted so some values may seem out-of-whack but they work. Make a copy of your cfg then carefully copy and paste over the sections below exactly where they belong. Some sections are partial.

I tested those settings this morning; it locked up the flight sim......:isadizzy:

I had to restore the aircraft.cfg file and the jrm-1.air file to get thing back in working order. So backup both of those files if you want to test those new settings. Might just be an issue with my computer.

Are you using the payware model or the AI freeware? It may also be the fact that some of the sections are partial and if not placed exactly 1:1 over the right spot may crash things. When uploading is working I'll be putting it all up as a package. Probably the whole aircraft.
 
Well like I said I did all this for the freeware one before I even knew there was a payware one. I used the one that came with a freeware scenery package. Go to Flightsim and type in sproat lake under FS2004 scenery and it will pop up. I think the file name is fs9-mars.zip. The included AI Mars needed another air file, panel and sound, and I reworked the cfg for it to make it flyable.

You could try entering parts of the cfg until the offending one reveals itself.
