Martin MB-1

SOH-CM-2014
Is there a Martin MB-1 or a Curtiss B-2 for FS9? I though I had seen them somewhere but just can't place them. I was thinking they were a private effort like on a personal site or something. I've migrated to an early aircraft hunt and would like add these and more to the hangar.

Paul Clawson (Putt Putt) has done a bunch of aircraft from that period. But not sure about the ones you're asking about.

Ah.. that's a bit older than I was thinking about. I was pretty sure Putt Putt had done one, but it was probably a B-10.

Paul made a B-2, but it's a FS2002 model and it loses its prop in FS9.

I don't think there's ever been an MB-2.

I could see both of those planes as projects for David and I to make at some point, but at the moment David's interest seems to be focused on the Nifty Fifties. That's my second favorite era, so I'm not really opposed to that, and it might be a while before I get us refocused on the Golden Age. We'll see...

To make a long story short, after looking for 10 years I found a book with usable 3 views for a Keystone bomber, a Martin MB-2, and a Boeing YB-9!!
I am already well along wjth the Keystone. I don't know if I will do the MB-2 (Billy Mitchell's bomber) but will eventually get to the YB-9. Please note these will be FSX native as that is all I have time for these days.

Cheers, Paul

Yes, the exterior is 95% done and have a good start on the VC. However, the project is somewhat on "hold" until I solve a contra-rotating prop animation problem. I had the same problem with my SR-45 "Princess". I developed a satisfactory solution for that project but it doesn't work on the Tradewind. The problem is associated with some limits in my design program of choice, FSDS.

Cheers, Paul
