In the old files there was a skin made by bub, called Martlet_MKII_No881_Madagascar.zip, do'es it still excist? Can't find it anywhere in the new skin files, Can anyone assist?

Sorry,what library? been through british skins and skin archive II, with no result, please tell me where it is lurking.

It's probably in the queue waiting for Rami to approve it. It will be in the British skins section of the library.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - British

Description: This repaint represents a Martlet Mk. II, AJ132, B-A. of 881 Squadron aboard the HMS Illustrious in the Indian Ocean March 1942.

The Squadron supported the landings on Madagascar and the capture of Diego Suarez in May 1942.
They stayed on the island for 2 months afterward. The pilot is unknown.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - American

Description: These are textures for The B24 Guys F4F-4 Overhaul.

These represent a "generic" Wildcat painted in the ATO (Atlantic) paint shceme.

This one is from a profile of a late 1943, early 1944 Wildcat.


Thanks to The B24 Guy for a great plane to repaint.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - British

Description: This repaint represents a Martlet MK. III, Buno. 3875, "K" of No. 805 Naval Air Squadron, Western Desert, 1941, in an early desert camouflage sceme. It was later assigned the Britih serial number AX727.

The Mk. III was the British version of the F4F-3A Wildcat.

It was not equipped with folding wings and was used in land based operations.


Many thanks to The B-24 Guy for a great plane to work with and letting me recolor them with my crayons.

Description: This repaint represents a Martlet MK. IV, FN148, "9C.0" of No. 893 Naval Air Squadron, Qrendi, Malta 1943.

The Mk. IV was the British version of the F4F-4 Wildcat.

Two sets of textures are included, one for The B-24 Guys F4F-3 OH and for the F4F-4 OH.

There's quite a lot of other good skins by Bub which are still in the Archive and need to be transferred across. These were the only ones I had.

If anyone else can help, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

Hi All,
Its been a long time since I've been here. But life has its cruel twists and turns. I was rather shocked to see these old skins turn up in my email as being posted again. Somewhere in my "archives" I think I have a couple of revised Martlet skins. If I find them I'll upload them so there will be some "new blood" in the water. Again Hi to all, its been a long time.
