MAW Spawning setup utility

Just downloaded the MAW 1.31 and installed it ok doing it the right way after an abortive attempt doing it my way.

I'm confused by the spawn utility. I can see where there are the years 1940 through 1945, but can only select 1940 or 41 regardless of what I do in any mode.

also, Italy, Sicily, and Tunisia remain grayed out as well, which is consistent with only being able to select the two years.

Am I missing something? Or haven't I done the install right yet?
 
That is because those chapters were planned but never finished.
MAW in it's current state is only 1940/41.

That would certainly explain it. I'm just glad it isn't me ... again.

Any plans to march (fly) forward with the expansion?

When I try this utility I get a run-time error 58 ,file already exists.
 
MAW development stopped once the 1.31 version was out. There are a number of reasons for that, but none are very interesting.

Having said that, Chapter II and following were always going to be more about aircraft than scenery; most of the projected aircraft do now exist, and so there is no reason why you can't incorporate them into your Chapter I install.
